On the auspicious occasion of Charak Jayanti, a special programme was organized to commemorate the great Ayurvedic scholar Acharya Charak and to celebrate the rich literary and scientific heritage of Ayurveda. The programme commenced with a Havan, followed by Dhanwantri Vandana, seeking blessings for the successful conduct of the event.

The event was also graced by the presence of the honorable Director General Prof.(Dr.) Narendra Sharma, Principal Prof. (Dr.) Piyush Kapil, Vice Principal Prof.(Dr.) Geeta Joshi , faculty members and students of the institution.
The major highlight of the programme was the continuous recitation of Charaka Samhita – Sutrasthana as part of the India Record attempt to complete more than 1800 shlokas. The Sutrasthana comprises 30 chapters and a total of 1,954 shlokas, which were recited continuously during the record attempt.
The recitation officially commenced at 9:56 AM and concluded at 16:50 PM.

A total of 51 participants participated in the record attempt.
For the purpose of authentic documentation and verification, the entire duration of the record attempt was continuously recorded using professional cameras. Photographic documentation of the event was also undertaken. The complete recording and supporting documentation is submitted to the Indian Book of Records (IBR) for verification and assessment of the record attempt. A provisional certificate and medal was awarded to the institute by I.B.R for the attempt.
The successful completion of this initiative marks a significant and memorable occasion in the celebration of Charak Jayanti. The event not only paid tribute to Acharya Charak, one of the foundational scholars of Ayurveda, but also served to promote, preserve and showcase the rich textual heritage of Ayurveda through the continuous recitation of Charaka Samhita – Sutrasthana.
The programme was conducted with the active participation and cooperation of the institutional authorities, faculty members and students, making it a proud and historic occasion for the institution.
