Motherhood Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital celebrated World Breastfeeding Week 2025 with great enthusiasm, aligning with the global theme "Prioritize Breastfeeding: Create Sustainable Support Systems". The event was organised under the guidance of Director General Prof. Dr. Narendra Sharma Sir, and supervision of Principal Prof. Dr. Mayank Jain sir. Associate professor & HOD Dr Kritika joshi, Associate professor Dr Mridula and Assistant professor Dr Kanika, Department of Kaumarbhritya, Associate professor Dr Kumkum kala department of PTSR, along with all the faculties of MAMC and students were present at the event. Here is a rundown of their activities:
1. Awareness Camp & Free Health Checkup: On August 6, 2025, a camp was organised at Kishanpur Jamalpur (Bhagwanpur) for females of reproductive age group and children. Over 40 patients received free consultation and medicines. Camp was attended by Dr. Kumkum Kala, Associate Professor, Dept of Prasuti Tantra evum Stree Rog, Dr. Kritika Joshi, HOD & Associate Professor, Dept of Kaumarbhritya, Dr. Nitin (Camp Coordinator), Pharmacist Mr. Lokesh, Interns and students’ of 2021 batch.
2. Academic Activities: On August 7, 2025, the college organised various activities. Students of batch 2021 presented skits and video clips for promoting awareness on breastfeeding and its challenges, also there were poster presentations and a quiz competition for students of Batch 2021, for which Certificates and medals were presented to winners by respected Principal Sir Prof. Dr. Mayank Jain and Vice Principal sir Prof Dr Piyush kapil.
