On 28/08/25, the Department of Kayachikitsa and Swasthavritta, MAMC College, successfully organized a Biomedical Waste (BMW) Management Training Session in collaboration with MPCC India.

We were honored to have Mr. Shantanu, Mr. Tushar Sharma, and their team as guest speakers, who shared valuable insights on biomedical waste segregation, handling, and disposal. Their practical guidance highlighted the importance of safety and responsibility in everyday healthcare practices.

We remain grateful for the guidance of our Director General, Prof. Dr. Narendra Sharma, whose continuous encouragement has been a source of inspiration. The session was graced by the presence of our respected Principal, Prof. Dr. Mayank Jain, whose support added to the significance of the event.

The programme was organized under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Piyush Kapil (HOD, Kayachikitsa) and Prof. Dr. Saroj Kumar (HOD, Swasthavritta), along with Associate Prof. Dr. Kimmi Seth and Assistant Prof. Dr. Lata Arya, who overlooked and coordinated the training session.

Participants included hospital staff, the nursing team, interns, and final-year students, all of whom actively engaged in the discussions. A key learning from the session was the correct use of color-coded bags in BMW management. This interactive programme emphasized that effective biomedical waste management is not only a matter of compliance but also a collective responsibility to ensure a safe and hygienic healthcare environment.
